We call artists from all winds to join gathering of arts and people in middle of slovenian forests. By castle Snežnik we will from 5. till 17 july 2016 build site-specific and land-art installations, which will be at end of process be joined by musicians, actors, acrobats, dancers in form of site-specific festival Floating castle. For this case we are applyed for a grant“Erasmus+, Youth“ which was approved
FOR WHO:
Visual artists (stage designers, painters, sculptors, architects) as well as performer artists interested in work with space (dancers, performers). Some experiences required, not for beginners! Age 20-30, few can be older. There will be 3 countries, cca 10 artists each.
WHAT:
Building of land-art, light or other installations in forest, in water, on castle Snežnik. Under guidance of experienced mentors. Topic of islands, connected to local topic of reviving sinking memories of local area (people as well as cultural environment) – of course actualized in Your own interpretation.
WHAT YOU GET:
Great event gathering arround 500 artists (half are musicians), warm sociall event (festival floating castle, warm hostability of locals), food, sleep,m aterial, travelcosts.
WHEN:
5. – 17. July 2016, (4.7. is coming, 18.7. leaving, 10 days of workshop + 3 days of festival)
Other workshops will join the area on 10 th, but there will be jam session and gatherings before too)
